SpaceAlpha Selected for Starburst Aerospace Accelerator

Alpha joins the world's first global space accelerator.

SpaceAlpha is very pleased to announce that it has joined the latest cohort of NewSpace accelerator Starburst Aerospace, the world's only global space accelerator focusing on deep aerospace technology, including space flight, Earth Observation, and connectivity.

Alpha joins four other startups — Canopy Aerospace, Starfish Space, RebelSpace Technologies, and Interstellar Lab — in the latest program cohort, and aims to work with Starburst to build upon its growth opportunities, while remaining on track toward the launch of its first dual-band synthetic aperture radar mission in 2023.

Having raised US$5 million since its incorporation in early 2021, SpaceAlpha has already completed testing of its flagship SAR technology, while scaling its team, signing customer contracts, and building revenue visibility for its multi-purpose technology.

"We're excited to be working with the Starburst team, in a program that's a great fit for Alpha's Earth Observation mission," explained Scott Larson, SpaceAlpha CEO and Co-founder. "They bring deep knowledge and expertise in aerospace and across our many market sectors, providing valuable support as we scale-out. These are exciting times and we're all eager to reach our next milestones."

Alpha is currently engaging a seed-plus round of financing in advance of a Series A later this year.

SpaceAlpha Insights ("Alpha") is a Vancouver-based space company that's developing next-gen Earth Observation satellites for heightened geospatial intelligence. Alpha's SAR-XL satellites will deliver unprecedented global insights for missions related to environmental monitoring, security, logistics, and more.
